Antique Liberty Art Nouveau Jewelry Boxes Pair (1890-1920) - Brass and Beveled Glass.

Dimensions: 8 cm in diameter, height 3.5 cm, weight of each box 65 g.

Pair of vintage Liberty-style jewelry/face powder cases (Art Nouveau), dating from the turn of the late 19th to the early 20th century (1890-1920).
The two pieces belong to a refined and elegant coordinated dressing set: they share the same diameter and the same decorative motif, but with slightly different shapes (one more flared and the other more cup-shaped), a typical detail of period manufactories to distinguish the content at a glance.
Made in fine brushed brass with a splendid patina of time. The base of both cases is finely embossed with a continuous motif of rose garlands in full Art Nouveau style.
The interior is silver-plated brass, a high-quality finish used at the time to reflect light through the glass and protect jewelry or interior fabrics from the oxidation of raw brass.
Both pieces mount their rare original glasses, characterized by a thick rim and refined edge grinding (beveled glass).
The external bottom of one of the cases bears the original factory stamp with the model/catalog number of the era.

Excellent vintage condition. The glasses are solid, intact and free of chips (a very rare condition for objects of this age). The brass retains its charming original patina and the embossed details are sharp and legible. One of the two lids has a small dent (please examine the photos).
Splendid collectible pieces, ideal as decorative elements for classic bedrooms, desks, or as an antique gift.
