Sergio Dangelo, Les Témoins, a mixed‑media and collage on paper artwork in the 1980s period, 29 x 41.5 cm, original edition, hand-signed, produced in Italy and sold with a frame, with a certificate of authenticity from Luca Sforzini Arte.
Description from the seller
Fascinating work on paper by master Sergio Dangelo, historically co-founded of the Movimento Arte Nucleare together with Enrico Baj in 1951 and a leading figure of international Surrealism.
The painting, titled "Les Témoins" (The Witnesses), skillfully combines painterly elements with a central collage component, typical of the artist's refined polymaterial and surrealist research. The stylized figures and strong chromatic accents recall the dreamlike atmospheres and gestural symbolist notation of the artist's best output.
