Vetta Protecto, reference 4356, with a stainless steel case 37 mm wide, manual-wind movement, silver dial with a vintage patina, a likely non-original Milanese steel bracelet, circa 1950s, condition Good with visible wear and no original box or papers.
Description from the seller
Interesting vintage mechanical Vetta Protecto, traceable to roughly the 1950s, characterized by a case of unusually generous dimensions for the period: 37 × 43.5 mm, an element that significantly enhances its portability even by today’s standards.
The champagne dial preserves a strong patina of age, widespread and coherent with the era, which gives the specimen a pronounced vintage character. The composition is typically mid-century, with stylized Arabic numerals at the four cardinal points, applied geometric markers, and gold hands. At 6 o’clock is the small seconds subdial, finished with a concentric guilloché pattern. The dial clearly bears the markings Vetta and 17 Jewels.
The case back bears the markings Vetta Protecto, Incabloc and 4356. The watch uses a manual-wind mechanical movement with Incabloc shock protection; in the absence of movement photos, the exact caliber is not attributed.
The case shows scratches, abrasions, and loss of surface finish in some spots, consistent with use and age. The dial shows oxidation and significant color alterations, to be considered an integral part of the conservative state of the piece and clearly documented in the photographs. Milanese-style metal bracelet, presumably non-original. No recent service documented. Water resistance not tested and not guaranteed.
