Tenor saxophone Henri Dolnet Euphone, manufactured circa late 1920s to early 1930s in France, brass raw finish with some original silver details, non-functioning/not tested and requiring restoration, weight 9 kg, includes a rigid case.
Description from the seller
Sax tenore Henri Dolnet model euphone, rare collector's piece handmade about a hundred years ago, dating from the late 1920s to early 1930s, serial number 17929, key of Bb, rough brass finish with original silver details. The instrument presents with a brass finish and still retains some original silver parts left visible that give it a very particular vintage charm; there is a weld on part of the reinforcement brace that connects the bell to the sax body, giving the appearance of a well-used instrument dense with history, characterized by the natural patina of time. It retains all the original springs of the era. There are pads of different colors and brands present, the instrument sounds only partially, the middle and high registers produce sound, while the low notes require adjustment, so it needs a general overhaul and re-padding to express its potential best and restore the typical sound of the Dolnet. For setup the instrument only sounds with some mouthpieces, a YouTube video is available in which I play the sax titled test dolnet euphone tenor to evaluate the current sound emission conditions.
Shipped with its compatible case as shown in the photo, by courier.
