This object is a hand-carved bowl from teak root wood (teak root bowl).

This type of decorative bowls is produced from the irregular roots of teak trees. Because the natural shape, knots and grain of the root are left intact during carving and polishing, every piece is completely unique.

Root wood objects like these are very popular as rustic or organic centerpieces on tables, sideboards, or mounted as wall decor.
