Old Ersari rug, 103 x 77 cm. This is an old Ersari, not Afghan, which is why it is particularly soft: the wool is beautifully full and shines in the sunlight, with a nice high pile. A rug of great charm with a beautiful prayer motif, two gul and a niche, and an attractive border in which white tones are also used; the outer borders are also typical of the Ersari style. Particularly beautiful are the characteristic brown side borders. The rug is over 50 years old; the ends have been secured and at one end there is slight wear, but the condition remains excellent because the consolidation work has been carried out by skilled hands. Wool and colors of excellent quality (100% wool, organic dyes): a truly top-notch piece. Free from insect damage and free of smoke or animal odors. Clean.
