A handsome complete set in nineteen volumes of The History of France by Jules Michelet, published by Jean de Bonnot Art Editions between 1976 and 1979.
Each volume, in octavo format, is bound in genuine full leather stamped by the publisher and fitted with gilt tops. The spines with raised bands and the boards display the typographic decorations and gold motifs characteristic of this publisher's production.
The set comprises the entire nineteen volumes that constitute this original, reference edition.
The paper is very lightly yellowed and the binding shows a few small scuffs, none of which are serious; overall, it is in very good condition.
