Me and You speaks about the relationship between two different people.
Sometimes a couple is made precisely of contrasts: one lighter, spontaneous, luminous and unpredictable; the other deeper, intense, reflective, perhaps even harder to cross.
In the upper part of the work, pink dominates the composition with its lightness and brightness. The tiny bubbles and droplets of blue seem to rise through the surface like thoughts, words, laughter or emotions that are released into the air.
It is the lighter part of the relationship: the part that brings color, movement, enthusiasm and possibilities.
Then, almost like a counterpoint, there appears a large swath of burgundy, deep and compact.
It is the other half of the couple.

THE ARTIST
Azzurra Lo Bello is an Italian contemporary artist whose research traverses figurative painting, pop art, geometric language and abstraction.
After studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, where she deepened Painting and Graphic Design, she develops a personal language based on the strength of color, formal synthesis and experimentation.
In her abstract production the painterly gesture becomes a tool to translate emotions, relationships and inner states into matter and color.
Her contemporary research combines chromatic energy, layering and spontaneous gesture, creating works designed to establish a direct relationship with the viewer and with the space that hosts them.
