Transience is a large-format work from the Silent Zen series and explores the beauty of impermanence—the fleeting moments that are especially precious precisely because of their transience.
Delicate dark branches weave through a multilayered background in muted blue, gray, and turquoise tones. Light, cream-colored blossom and leaf structures seem to emerge between them, while others almost merge with the atmospheric background. Thus the impression of a landscape between becoming and passing—a moment that could change in the next instant.
The deliberately open spaces give the composition calm, depth, and a sense of space. Organic lines and restrained color transitions create a meditative atmosphere, while the warm, light accents provide a subtle contrast to the cool color palette.
The title Transience—Vergänglichkeit—recalls this idea. The work reminds us that beauty does not exist despite its fragility, but sometimes precisely because of it.
The restrained, East Asian-inspired visual language makes Transience a tranquil yet expressive piece for modern, minimalist, and elegant interiors.
Note: Since the canvas is shipped unstretched, please allow for part of the edge to be available for the wraps when stretching. The visible dimensions may be slightly smaller after stretching.
For shipping, the canvas is carefully rolled, wrapped around a sturdy cardboard tube, and then protected in a robust cardboard packaging.
About the artist
Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has dedicated herself to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-format works that balance between stillness and movement, structure and lightness.
Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metal foils—combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions.
Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, images emerge that do not dominate the space but fill it with quiet presence.
Her works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg, including Hamburg zeigt Kunst, Galerie Jupiter, as well as in HASPA branches. Works by Alla Faber are today in private collections in Europe, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates.
