Château, an oil on canvas painting from 1952 in France, framed.
AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Charming antique French oil painting on canvas, signed and dated 1952, depicting a castle or an elegant old residence surrounded by greenery.
The composition offers a very beautiful atmosphere: architecture with towers and sunlit facades, a flowering garden in the foreground, and a bright sky. The brushstrokes are generous and visible, giving the work a lot of texture and character.
The palette, dominated by greens, ochre, beige, and blue-gray, creates a soft and particularly decorative ambience.
Original and unique work, handmade.
The artist's signature as well as the date 1952 are visible in the lower right corner.
The painting is presented in its old wooden frame, which has a nice patina corresponding to its age and fully contributes to the charm of the whole.
A beautiful piece for vintage French decor, country house, château, cottage, classic or chic flea market style.
