AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Two ancient and authentic Belle Epoque Jewelry Boxes (circa 1920) in Louis XV style
Given the style and its décor, likely French or Belgian origin
These stylized boxes are oval-shaped and rest on curved feet
They are made of régule (an alloy) with a silvered patina in galvanoplasty fashion (in vogue in the Belle Epoque)
The bodies of these boxes are adorned with shells and acanthus leaves on all four faces.
The domed lids are enhanced by angels holding a bow with arrows and a quiver.
The undersides of the bases of these boxes are also decorated and display sun rays radiating from a central rosette. The bottom of the larger box bears the number 12.
The interior is lined with the original fabric, except that the lining on the base of the larger box is missing.
These boxes are in what is described as “house” condition, with no cleaning performed. They are of the same origin.
Given their past use, the hinges show some wear but remain functional.
The large box measures 10.5 cm high, 12.5 cm long and 8 cm wide; it weighs 570 g.
The small box measures 9 cm high, 11.5 cm long and 7 cm wide; it weighs 430 g.
(One kilogram for the two.)
Please study the 12 attached photos for the best impression. (Natural light photos, no flash)
These items are either collectible pieces (quite rare to find two) or still useful.
