Description from the seller

Free shipping for all lots within the EU, excluding Sweden! Attention: no shipping to: GREAT BRITAIN, SWEDEN, CANADA, USA, RUSSIA, SOUTH AMERICA

Here we offer:

1 bottle 2003 Grüner Veltliner Smaragd "M" quality wine dry 0.75 l

"M" stands for "Monumental" and is our designation for a Grüner Veltliner of exceptional complexity and flavor dimension. For the first time, a 1991 Grüner Veltliner was crowned by us as "M". This wine presented to us like the monument of a Veltliner – indeed like a "Monument".
Typically the grapes for the "M" are harvested two to three weeks later than the site wines. The "M", depending on vintage and vegetation, is usually vinified with about 70 percent from grapes from the Loibner Berg and a selection from several high-quality sites. An "M" is always a powerful wine with fine, dancing opulence." (Winery F.X. Pichler)

"The abbreviation "M" stands for Monumental and denotes the strictly selected, most powerful and concentrated selection of the house from absolute top terroirs, only vinified in great years."

In the offered wine there may be sediment and/or natural deposits.

TAX NOTICE:
This item is sold under the margin scheme (§ 25a UStG). Therefore, the value-added tax included in the purchase price is not shown separately on the invoice.

AGED WINE:
General notes on aged wines, old wines and wine rarities:
Wine is a natural product that can undergo changes in taste and color over decades of storage. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the drinkability and impeccable taste of aged wines. However, when acquiring these wines, we handle them with utmost care, ensure optimal storage conditions, check the bottle history where possible, and perform visual checks of the bottle contents for cloudiness and changes in consistency.
As mentioned, older, mature wines change their original taste during decades of storage and may develop a mature character. White wines often darken (resembling cognac, sherry or amber) and can form sediment; red wines commonly form sediment at the bottle bottom. A different appearance and tasting experience compared with young wines is not unusual for aged wines. For wine drinkers who have issues with the sometimes fresh, pronounced acidity of young wines, matured wines can be a real delight, as the wine’s acidity loses strength and aggressiveness over the years.
