Description from the seller
This edition, published in 2018 by 9e Art+ éditions, had a print run of 1,500 unnumbered copies on Munken Pure 150 g paper, sold exclusively during the Angoulême Festival 2018. ISBN 978-2-9536902-3-1
A wonderful exhibition titled "Une quête de l’épure", installed at the Hôtel Saint-Simon, delighted festival-goers for four days.
The Grand Prize of the International Comics Festival in 2017 made Swiss author Cosey known to comics enthusiasts as one of the top artists.
From his birthplace in the Alps to the Tibetan Himalaya, a terrain that was initially fantastical but later confirmed by numerous travels, his body of work remains inseparably linked with the image of snow and the signs one finds in it. The traces left on the white ice surface bear more than a resemblance to a pencil stroke on a sheet of paper.
An author-traveler and meticulous storyteller, Cosey lets us cross countless lifelines over four decades, across the four corners of the world. He continues his own path, between purism and decoration, and leaves the reader with a few milestones to reflect on along the path of self-discovery.
