Wonderful and detailed miniature/sculpture depicting a ibex, handmade in Italy in solid silver 800 fineness. The anatomical details and the animal's fur are finely chased with great craftsmanship, giving the figure an extremely realistic, proud and dynamic look.
​ The object bears the official marks of Italian silver: the fineness "800" and the identifying mark of the Milanese goldsmith workshop 949 MI. Based on the typographic characteristics and the absence of the star in the punch, dating can be precisely placed between 1944 and 1968, presumably in the 1950s-1960s.
