Description from the seller
Description of the work:
Metamorphosis V — Bud of Life is part of the Metamorphosis series, a collection of sculptures in which the artist explores processes of transformation, growth, and evolution through organic forms and elements inspired by nature.
In this new piece, the human figure disappears to make way for a more essential interpretation of the transformation process: life that emerges, grows, and unfolds from its origin.
At the base of the sculpture appears a sphere built from an interlacing of brass wire, conceived as a core or germ from which life begins to emerge. From this center, vegetal forms develop, opening up and rising, creating a dynamic and light composition.
The leaves and organic elements represent that moment when life begins to expand, while the presence of the butterfly provides a direct reference to transformation and the natural cycle.
Thus, the work establishes a dialogue between origin, growth, and transformation, using metal —a rigid and permanent material— to represent living, delicate, and changing forms.
The open structure of the sculpture allows emptiness to be part of the composition, generating a sense of lightness and movement. The result is a contemporary piece in which nature, matter, and transformation are in balance.

Biography:
Artist and jeweler specializing in creating unique pieces in metal, where material experimentation becomes a means of artistic expression.
My work stems from the technical knowledge of the jewelry trade, which evolves toward exploring broader formats, allowing me to develop my own sculptural language. Through brass and working with wire and sheet metal, I create compositions that combine lightness, balance, and tension.
My work sits within contemporary sculpture, with a focus on human relationships, emotional bonds, and the invisible structures that connect people. The figures, in simplified forms, contrast with heads built from interlaced wire, symbolizing the complexity of thought and emotion.
Currently, I also experiment with organic shapes inspired by nature, expanding my language toward new expressive lines.
Each piece is made entirely by hand, in a handcrafted way, paying attention to detail and giving rise to original and unique sculptures.
