Pompon spent most of his life in the service of other artists. He directed Rodin's workshop from 1890 to 1895, before becoming the assistant of René de Saint-Marceaux until 1916. In search of his own style, he was largely influenced by the rise of japonisme and his admiration for Egyptian art.
Only at the age of 67 did he rise to fame, with the exhibition of his famous White Bear.
Parastone has been successfully creating decorative objects for almost 50 years, some of timeless classic beauty and others more aligned with prevailing trends. The museum piece collection presented under the name Mouseion forms an important part of the collection. In addition to faithful replicas of major artworks, the Mouseion series also includes three-dimensional interpretations of paintings and drawings by many artists, from Hieronymus Bosch to Salvador Dalí.
