Rare and fascinating architectural element / small hand-carved stone sculpture depicting the face of a cherub or winged putto with curled hair. The piece displays a rich natural patina layered over time, with ancient residues of preparation or surface whitening/polychromy typical of interior stonework from historic periods or sacred decorative assemblies. On the back the original forged wrought-iron anchoring pin, used to fit into the wall or the original architectural structure, is still perfectly preserved.
