VOLTA's original 2026 acrylic painting The Golden Crossing, signed by hand, depicting nature, on canvas without frame (rolled for shipment), image size 90 x 70 cm (overall 100 x 80 cm), in excellent condition, produced in Italy and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
Great swaths of foliage unfold like a curtain, built piece by piece with small brushstrokes that vibrate between dark green and acid green. At the center the water glows with a warm yellow, crossed by short orange marks that reveal its slow movement. Further on, a blue hill holds back the last coolness of the evening under a sky that fades into the same golden light. Below, among the reeds, a small group of dark ducks advances compactly toward the light: it is the only shadowed spot in the scene, and precisely because of that the most alive. The painting does not describe the landscape; it tears it apart in light and recomposes it in a suspended moment, the moment when the day stops to watch something pass.

Volta’s research moves along a path of return—not nostalgic, but active. The great tradition of European painting is the starting point: the period that each work evokes, in turn. But the gesture with which this heritage is traversed is unequivocally contemporary. Color does not illustrate; it breathes. The brushstroke does not describe; it vibrates. What remains of the past is the deep structure — a certain idea of body, of space, of light — while the surface is entirely present, entirely alive. Volta does not quote, restitutes: his compositions seem to emerge from a shared cultural memory, brought to light with different eyes.
