Description from the seller

Up for auction, a refined decanter for wine or liqueur, a splendid example of Venetian silverware from the first half of the 19th century.

It bears marks used in Lombardy from 1812 to 1872, as can be seen in the photos.

This piece combines the purity of blown glass with the craftsmanship of 800 silverwork, typical of the Italian artisanal tradition of the period.

The decanter features a transparent glass body with a delicate radiating facet cut on the base. The upper part is elegantly clad with a finely worked 800 silver mount that extends along the neck.

The hinged stopper is the real showpiece: it has a bulging spherical shape, decorated with a distinctive torchon cordwork that creates facets, topped by a small central knob. The hinge is sturdy and functional. Inside, there is the original frosted spherical glass stopper, which ensures an airtight seal.

The photos are an integral part of the description.

The item will be packed with the utmost care and professionalism to ensure safe delivery.
Shipping will be tracked and insured.
