Description from the seller

Title: Fields of Colors

School: European Cubism (20th century)

Style: Synthetic landscape Cubism

Technique: Oil on canvas

Circle and artistic influence:

Work linked to the European currents of the 20th century that reinterpret the landscape through geometric simplification and the autonomy of color. The composition shows influences of Synthetic Cubism and post-Cubist derivations, combined with certain Fauvist echoes in the use of greens, yellows, ochres and violets. The treatment of the landscape through large color surfaces and schematic shapes also recalls modern investigations that reduced nature to essential structures.

Rural landscape built with broad zones of color that organize the composition on different horizontal planes. In the foreground, yellow, ochre and green fields predominate, interrupted by stylized vertical forms that can be read as trees or cypresses. In the middle zone, architectural and vegetal masses appear reduced to elementary volumes in violet, bluish and greenish tones.

In the background, a succession of fields and gentle mountain elevations leads toward a pale gray-white sky. The absence of descriptive detail and the reduction of natural elements to color blocks give the work a strongly synthetic character. Color functions as the main constructive element, moving away from strict naturalistic representation to offer a modern and subjective interpretation of the landscape.

The brushwork is visible and direct, with surfaces deliberately simplified and contours poorly defined, reinforcing the modern character of the composition.

Observations:

Due to its age and characteristics, it may show signs of aging and wear.

Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge for reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excess of measurements or weight of the item. PremiArt will not be responsible for this surcharge in any case.

The courier that must pass through the Swiss border may be delayed much more than usual, so, if possible to expedite processing, we will provide the Customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties.

Measurements: 60 x 82 cm.

The work may incur damage during transport even if properly packed. In that case, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.

Due to the high volume of shipments, it is possible that the order will be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging.
