A quintessential vintage Omega dress watch, this Seamaster De Ville stands out through its highly characterful aging. It is a classic configuration that wears its history openly and honestly.

Brand: Omega
Model: Seamaster De Ville
Movement: Automatic
Dial: Silver sunburst with widespread stardust patina
Case Size: 34mm (excluding the crown)
Case Material: Gold-tone, stainless steel caseback
Production Year: 1960s
Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: +3+7s/day, performing remarkably well.

Dial and Hands
The dial features a silver sunburst finish that has developed widespread, even spotting and freckling across the entire surface, yielding a highly distinct stardust patina. The applied gold-tone indices and Omega logo remain fully intact, while the printed text is crisp and legible. The gold-tone stick hands display noticeable aging, presenting significant oxidation, spotting, and grime that is particularly visible near the center pinion.

Case and Crystal
The gold-tone upper case and integrated bezel exhibit honest wear consistent with age, showing moderate surface scratches and handling marks across the polished surfaces. The lugs retain good shape and transition nicely to the stainless steel caseback, which features a remarkably crisp and well-preserved Seahorse medallion. The gold-tone crown is clearly signed with the Omega logo and displays typical surface wear. A domed acrylic crystal protects the watch face and remains clear, with no major scratches or cracks visible.

Movement
This timepiece is powered by an automatic movement. The timegrapher recorded +3+7s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece.

Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring contrast stitching. It appears to be in new or very lightly used condition, serving as a handsome modern strap that complements the vintage aesthetic.

Condition
Good vintage condition. The dial is defined by its widespread spotting and stardust patina, while the hands show significant oxidation and surface grime. The gold-tone case and bezel display moderate scratches and handling marks, though the stainless steel caseback is highly preserved with a sharp medallion. The crystal is clear, and the signed crown shows normal wear. The timegrapher results reflect exceptionally strong current performance.

Dimensions
34mm (excluding the crown).

Remarks
This Seamaster De Ville offers a fantastic balance of striking visual character and strong mechanical performance. The charming, evenly distributed stardust patina and the beautifully preserved caseback medallion make it a compelling choice for enthusiasts of honest mid-century design.

History
The Seamaster De Ville line represents a fascinating era in Omega's production, gracefully bridging the robust heritage of the Seamaster family with the refined elegance of the De Ville collection. During the 1960s, this dual-signed configuration became incredibly popular, providing wearers with a sophisticated dress watch profile alongside reliable automatic performance. Today, these models are appreciated for their classic proportions and enduring mid-century appeal.
