Jewellery box - Wood

This is a wooden jewelry box crafted for export from Southeast Asia. The entire exterior features intricate carvings of figures amidst garden scenery, framed by relief-carved floral and foliate motifs that create a rich, three-dimensional effect. Hand-carved patterns adorn the lid and all four sides of the box, while the front is fitted with a traditional brass latch that allows it to be locked securely. The interior is lined with red velvet, offering both practical storage and a protective setting for jewelry and small collectibles.
