Description from the seller

For sale: a splendid pair of decorative vases with an artistic ceramic handle, handmade and painted by the famous Tuscan workshop of Giotto Giannoni (Monte San Savino - Arezzo).
Signature on the bottom: The original brush signature "G. GIOTTO M.S.S." is present, attesting to its authenticity.
Decoration: Rich and refined polychrome floral decoration (roses, field flowers) on a clarified background with antique patination, the neck ornate and warm-toned finishes. The decoration is called the "Rose Group" or the "San Savino" decoration. This decoration originates in the early years of the company, around the mid-1920s. One of the characteristics of this type, in addition to the grace of the designs and the delicacy of the colors, is the constant variety of the floral compositions, freely executed with a brush, piece by piece.
Conditions: Excellent overall condition, no chips or evident cracks, with light signs of aging (as in the detailed photos).
Dimensions: Height 25.5 cm, maximum diameter 9 cm, base diameter 6.7 cm
Perfect as decorative elements for classic, rustic-chic, vintage interiors or for collectors of Italian artistic ceramics of the 20th century.

Giotto Giannoni (Monte San Savino, March 8, 1895 – Monte San Savino, August 6, 1963) was an important Italian ceramist, sculptor and painter.
Born in Monte San Savino, he drew inspiration from the centuries-old Savinese ceramic tradition. He trained as a modeler, turner and painter, combining technical mastery with a personal innovative research.
The Workshop and production: He founded the artisanal workshop "Ceramiche Giotto", already active in the 1920s. Under his leadership, the manufactory stood out for style and creativity, later also relying on collaborators such as Donatello Ceppodomo.
He passed away in 1963 at the age of 68.
