XTC, Mc Caviar Metallic Dark Blue with red Straw 19cm, a hand-painted molded resin sculpture in 24K gold leaf detailing, numbered 2/4 E.A. and signed on the base, dated 2025.
Description from the seller
Exceptional sculpture by XTC Artist:
Dark-metalled blue 24K gold-plated McCaviar Cone with its red straw
It stands about 19 cm tall, weighs around 1 kg, on a plexiglass base measuring 15 x 10 cm and 15 mm thick.
Sculpture in molded resin, hand-painted by Artist XTC using resins, paints, and acrylic varnishes. Edition number applies to the sculpture fully realized by the artist and not to the plexiglass base.
Designed and made in molded resin, adorned with 24-carat gold leaf (everything that is gold is pure gold leaf, including the logo), painted in dark metallic blue. Protected under a varnish as glossy as it is durable, and, of course, filled with my own caviar with its straw.
This design will be produced in only 8 copies and 4 EA.
Probably the most emblematic XTC piece to date, in red and gold edition.
A twist on a McDonald's cone, a luxurious future dish in a fast-food version? Not impossible!
Signed and numbered on the base, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The piece shipped is not necessarily the one shown in the photo but will be similar.
Careful and trackable shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration turned into a passion that had to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and street art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with various resins, plastics, and sometimes mineral materials.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addiction in general.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
