Marinus de Jongere (1912-1977) - Zicht op de Rotterdamse haven

Marinus de Jongere (1912 - 1977) is the pseudonym of Marius Drulman, one of the best-known harbor painters of the last century. It almost always concerns one of the harbors of Rotterdam, either before or after the war. In addition, he also painted landscapes, mainly of the area around Rotterdam.

The works of De Jongere are spread all over the world. Even in his own time he was world-famous. For example, he sold paintings to the Greek shipping magnate Onassis and to the American president L.B. Johnson. His work hangs in six different Dutch museums.
