XTC presents Caviar x Hermès, a hand-signed sculpture, edition 1/8 from 2026, made in steel and PMMA, measuring 19 cm wide by 10 cm high by 16 cm deep, origin France, in excellent condition, presented on a black PMMA 10 mm pedestal with COA.
Description from the seller
Caviar Box with Hermes label torn, painted in trompe-l'œil, with 24k gold caviar and rhinestones by XTC.
This is the number 1/8 that had not been put up for sale, so it is therefore the last in the series, as all the other numbers are sold.
Original sculpture designed and hand-finished by the Artist XTC using an antique caviar box, acrylic paints and varnishes, and resins.
It is a real 1000g recovery caviar box with a torn Hermes label, entirely hand-painted (no sticker!). And fake caviar with gold rhinestones.
The lid is not fixed so the work can be displayed in different ways: box open or closed with the lid resting on the side; you can modify the work according to your desires.
The piece is presented on a black 10 mm thick PMMA (Perspex) acrylic base for a glossy, flawless finish.
Signed and numbered out of 8 + 4EA on the base, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) supplied.
(The copy sent is not necessarily the one shown in the photo.)
Careful, tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in central France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration became a passion that had to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the détournement of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through bold staging of icons of popular consumption, which he makes clash with the world of luxury and Street Art, further blurring the tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of plastic and sometimes mineral materials.
All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work; the caviar box is recycled and bears signs of use and opening.
