PAOLO CONTIN has been developing a personal and continually evolving artistic path for over twenty-five years. Trained in design and active in the fashion world since 1980, he brings to painting a special sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo exhibition in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
Paolo Contin’s artistic journey is documented by his presence in the Mondadori Art Catalog with corresponding valuations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes created for solo shows and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
Ecclectic and independent, the artist has built over the years a recognizable language, free from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, balancing rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.
Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond the confines of painting alone.
Today his work continues to evolve without preconceived formulas: every work arises from the will to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity.
