Description from the seller
Le Simon Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 2024 embodies with elegance the character of the great whites of the Côte de Beaune. Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, the Simon Colin estate signs wines sought after for their finesse, their aromatic purity and their precise reading of Burgundian terroirs. The winemaker favors a taut and luminous style, where freshness, mineralité and balance prevail over the power of wood.
This Chassagne-Montachet appellation cuvée is produced from Chardonnay, emblematic grape of the great white Burgundies. The 2024 vintage reveals an elegant profile, carried by notes of fresh white fruits, citrus, and a delicately oaked touch at the finish. The palate is harmonious, with good intensity, just acidity and a fresh finish that invites dining.
To be enjoyed with scallops, fine fish, a roasted lobster, Bresse chicken in cream, sweetbreads or even lightly aged pressed cheeses. This Chassagne-Montrachet white wine can be enjoyed in its youth after a light decanting, but it will gain in complexity over the years, with a recommended drinking window from 2028 to around 2032.
