Flavius Josephus - Histoire des Iuifs escrite par Flavius Ioseph - 1667-1668

“Histoire des Iuifs escrite par Flavius Ioseph”, 1667-1668.

Very rare Paris first edition in 2 volumes. With a title vignette, some wood engravings, and a folding map.

The pages of the first part are throughout somewhat stained. At the beginning, slightly stronger as well, there are a few margin spots in the upper area. At the beginning there are a few light reinforcements to the back pages, these, however, are located outside the text.

The second part also has a few stains, overall however fewer than the first. The pages are mostly somewhat browned.

The map has been rebound and pages 313/314 are missing in the second part.

The lower part of the last leaf in the first part has been hand-written.

Both bindings are rubbed, the hinges are cracked and the corners are bumped. The spines are brittle and there are light losses of leather.
