Description from the seller
The Jump of Life, from the series The Last Color, is an oil painting on canvas made in 2026 by the artist Alejandro Faura, in which a figure suspended in the air represents the moment of leaving one life story to begin another. The red fish, a recurring symbol in his work, evoke memory and what remains as we move toward the unknown. Through contemporary figuration, visible and expressive brushwork, and a palette dominated by grays and reds, Faura explores the relationship between memory, identity, reality, and imagination. Born in Cuba in 1974 and trained at the School of Fine Arts, he has developed his career between Europe and Spain, and today his works are present on international platforms and in private collections in Europe and the United States, inviting the viewer, before the work, to ask themselves what story from their own life they would risk to take the leap toward a new stage.
