Travellers on a forest path, an original oil painting in the Impressionist style from Germany, dated 1910–1920, by the Continental school (XX), measuring 97 cm high by 74 cm wide and weighing 8 kg, in good condition and sold with frame (a very heavy gilt frame), Not signed.
Description from the seller
I am offering a large and impressive oil on canvas of a travellers on a woodland path. A certain type of foreboding in the painting. Are they on their way home or they running away from something? Housed in a very heavy gilt frame.
The painting measures 73.5 x 49.5 cm with the frame 97 x 74 cm.
Condition of the painting is fairly good. Please view all pics for accurate condition. Ready to hang.
Please note. Due to the fragile nature of old frames and glass, our shippers do not provide insurance for any damage caused during transit. We go to great lengths to ensure each painting is packed and protected to a very high standard but sadly cannot compensate or refund for any damage occurring to frames or glass during transit. Therefore the frame and any glass is a gift to you with zero value and you are bidding on the artwork only.
Due to Brexit, there are delays at EU customs borders though the situation is improving. Please do not blame me for delays or any customs duty payable. I really appreciate your understanding and patience. Steve.
