Yeseneva Sveta - Walking on the water

A girl and her black cat are walking on water, as if an ordinary walk has suddenly turned into a small miracle. They move side by side, lightly and freely, leaving invisible circles on the surface of the water.
The vivid red dress stands out against the cool blue space. Red and blue meet to create a feeling of light, freshness and summer air. The black cat brings rhythm and movement to the composition, becoming the girl’s natural companion.
The rich impasto technique makes the surface of the painting lively and tactile. The layers and expressive brushstrokes suggest reflections, light and the movement of water.
It is simply a walk — but one in which, for a moment, the world seems lighter, brighter and slightly magical.
