The lyre-trained vines, which make Domaine Labry so distinctive, let the melody of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay resonate in the heart of the Côte de Beaune at Auxey-Duresses.

The vines are located on the Melin hillside on various lieux-dits such as “Le Saussois”, “Nampoillon”, “Sous le Marsain” and “Ez Hoz”.

The soil is Kimmeridgian limestone with the presence of dolomites on the lower slopes, or white marls on the upper slopes. As a note, before 1935 (the date of the A.O.C decrees), Auxey-Duresses were often sold as Pommard.
The largest area of the estate is 5.5 ha.

The harvest is manual at 80% and mechanical at 20% (for the lower vines), with total destemming.

The maceration lasts 14 to 18 days, with pigeage and/or remontage once a day. The aging takes place in barrels for 12 months. Long maceration.
