Description from the seller
Exclusive modernist stained-glass lamp-farol, handcrafted in artisanal glass (GOG Technique), a European studio work inspired by Art Nouveau, circa 1990-2000
This unique piece arises from the collaboration between a workshop specialized in restoring ecclesiastical stained glass and a master forge artisan. Conceived initially as a high-end ritual lantern, the piece was meticulously reimagined and transformed in the late 20th century using the contemporary Glass on Glass (GOG) assembly technique with ultraviolet fixing.
The artisans carefully selected opulent, high-density textured glass in ruby, sapphire, and emerald tones to emulate the majesty of Gothic rose windows. Each of the four facets was hand-cut and beveled to capture the light, creating a hypnotic play of luminescence that pays homage to the aesthetics of Louis Comfort Tiffany and the Arts and Crafts movement. It is not mass-produced industrially but a unique functional work of art that fuses the solidity of aged metal with the suntuousness of contemporary artistic glass.
Genuine high-end artistic glass (cathedral effect and texturized), no plastics, superficial paints, or cheap mass-import imitations.
Totally handcrafted (Handcrafted) combining metal structure with the advanced Glass on Glass (GOG) mosaic technique and UV-curing polymerization, guaranteeing durability and a flawless crystalline finish.
Thanks to its four facets in intense tones (deep red, cobalt blue, and opal green), when lit it projects a warm, theatrical, and sophisticated atmosphere, ideal as a designer/author piece (statement piece).
With a height of 48 cm and a weight of 2.1 kg, it has a robust and elegant presence that stands out both off and on.
Shipped quickly, meticulously packed with maximum-protection materials (reinforced box and bubble wrap) and fully insured so it arrives at its destination in perfect condition.
