AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Beautiful vintage wooden bookends in the shape of elephants. A wonderful example of hand-carved mid-century modern design. European circa 1970-1980
The sleek, minimalist forms give the elephants an abstract yet recognizable look that is typical of the Scandinavian design style of the 1960s and 1970s.
The figures are designed to look as if they are firmly pressing against the books from both the back and the front.
They are mounted on a contrasting, darker wooden base with a raised edge. This type of decorative wood carving is highly prized by collectors of retro and mid-century interior pieces.
Dimensions: listed with the photos.
Condition: in good condition with minimal signs of wear.
Photos are part of the description. They were taken under artificial light, so the color may vary. mood impressions are shown.
They are well packed and shipped by registered mail.
