Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Silver ring with 925 fineness designed by Mies De Wilde, featuring a light blue enamel rectangular element on an open ringband, size about 52 adjustable, weight 9.326 g, in very good vintage condition.
Description from the seller
Vintage modernist silver ring by the Belgian goldsmith and jewelry designer Mies De Wilde.
The ring features a pronounced sculptural design with a wide, open band and a raised rectangular element. In this element lies a light blue enamelled surface with a nuanced, slightly mottled texture. These color variations are part of the enamel and are not defects.
Mies De Wilde belongs to the generation of Belgian goldsmiths who introduced a modern vocabulary of form starting in the 1950s. In 1958 his work was shown, among others, at the World Exhibition in Brussels.
The ring is stamped 925, the master mark of Mies De Wilde and the MDW signature.
The open band allows a limited adjustment of size. However, due to the sturdy construction of the band, it is not meant to be bent strongly.
The ring is in very good vintage condition, with little signs of wear. The enamel is also very well preserved.
