Description
A unique and complete set of three vintage children's busts, designed and manufactured by the renowned Amsterdam atelier Gebroeders Van Paridon. Why this display is usually offered as a set of two is that this extended composition, featuring a larger boy, a larger girl, and a charming smaller child’s head, is an extremely rare sight.
The sculptures are marked on the back of the plinth with the corresponding model numbers (including 240.V.V. and 241.AP). Thanks to the substantial weight of the large bookends (almost 4 kilograms together) and the charming smaller piece, this lot is decoratively and functionally excellent for a classical or eclectic interior.
