Südtiroler Meisterarbeit - Sculpture, Heilige Mutter Anna mit der jungen Maria - 40 cm - Wood

Holy Mother Anna with the young Mary – South Tyrolean wood-carved figure, model KD0180. Made in traditional South Tyrolean or Gröden Valley wood carving. Material: maple wood with multi-stained, multi-toned wood mounting in various brown and wood tones. Height: approx. 40 cm. Width and depth are not specified exactly due to the three-dimensional form. Model number: KD0180. The composition is documented according to the model designation at South Tyrolean workshops such as Salcher Wood Carvings or Patrick Demetz. Condition: very good and well-kept condition, as shown in the attached pictures. The representation shows the standing Mother Anna with the young Mary and a book held obliquely. Finely worked facial features, hands, fingers, locks of hair and folds of the garment. The multi-tone staining emphasizes the carved structures and the folds of the garment. The attached overall and detail photos show the surface texture and the visual condition of the figure.
