Around the work:
Many influences come from the Ukrainian photographer Ruslan Lobanov’s work. Among them cinema, fashion, but above all the daring eroticism of the holy monster Helmut Newton. A fervent admirer of the Australian photographer, Ruslan Lobanov is also known for his black-and-white nude photographs. Behind every shot, the staging and the attitude of the characters tell a story whose ending is for each viewer to decide.
About the photographer:
Ruslan Lobanov is one of the most influential artists in Eastern Europe. When he photographs female nudes, he draws inspiration from cinema and fashion, creating erotic photographs in which the sensual bodies of women are displayed without restraint. Breaking established codes, these women embody a feminine freedom that earned the photographer a distinction in Beverly Hills at the International Color Awards in 2015, and they have been featured in notable collaborations with Playboy and L’Official, as well as with the cosmetics group L’Oréal.
