Marcello Dudovich - Aurum Liquor - 1970s

Splendid advertising manifesto (70s reissue) for the famous "Aurum Liquor" of Pescara, conceived by the master of Italian poster art Marcello Dudovich.
This piece represents a milestone in Italian twentieth-century advertising design. The work depicts a mysterious and elegant female figure who brings to her face the iconic bottle with the stepped facets of the liqueur. The very name of the spirit, "Aurum", combines the Latin terms aurum (gold) and aurantium (orange), and was chosen by the founder Amedeo Pomilio on the direct suggestion of poet Gabriele D'Annunzio.
The refined aesthetics, the sinuous lines of the figure wrapped in the pure white headdress, and the strong color contrast with the bold red "AVRVM" lettering make this composition a true work of visual art, perfect to decorate modern spaces, dining rooms, or retro-flavored bar areas.
