Description: a fine biscuit tray, made by Gebrüder Friedländer, founded in 1829 by Zadig Levin and Louis Saling Friedländer.
During the reign of Wilhelm I the company served as court jeweler to the Empress and Queen, the Crown Prince and Princess Luise of Prussia. In 1939, under the 'Aryanization' of Jewish property, Gebr. Friedländer was forced to be transferred to the Prussian state, and the company was renamed to Deutsche Goldschmiedekunst-Werkstätten.
