Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar is a series of three albums – Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar, Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar Some More, and Return of the Son of Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar – released by American musician Frank Zappa in 1981. The albums consist solely of electric guitar instrumentals and improvised solos (mostly) played live by Zappa and featuring a wide variety of backing musicians.
The music was well received by critics, and Zappa subsequently produced additional albums focusing solely on guitar-oriented instrumental music.
The albums were initially released as individual LPs in May 1981 on Barking Pumpkin Records and sold only through mail order in the United States. The recordings were subsequently reissued as a triple album box set in 1982 and distributed by CBS Records in Europe. The complete package later appeared as a two-CD set in 1986 on Rykodisc, then as a three-CD box set in 1995, also on Rykodisc[2], and again as a two-CD set in 2012 on Zappa Records.

Seller's Story
My name is Hans Kesteloo and I finally decided to sell my ‘remaining’ collection of 45’s, LP’s, CD’s, DVD’s, laserdiscs and other odd things after more than 60 years of ‘hardcore’ collecting. I purchased my first 45 in 1965, and this was the beginning of an enjoyable, long-time hobby – a real-time “collector’s career”. Now time has come to pass the baton !
When you like to see all my current active sale offers, then click on my name 'Klemtoon' in any lot / auction.
Please note: Since I'm a one man show and aged, I can only send on mondays and thursdays.
Returns: In case you like to return an item:
I will refund the postage cost of shipping the item(s) to buyer.
Buyer pays for the cost of returning that item(s)
My grading in Brackets is the same as the grading before that, but here I use the old respected "Goldmine" grading for the older traditional collector!
vg+ = slight traces of use / visible traces inaudible (Goldmine grading: VG+)
ex = very light inaudible traces (Goldmine grading: VG++)
nm = as new (Goldmine Grading: M-)
mint = new (Goldmine grading: M)
