AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION AND DOCUMENTATION

Any certificates or expert reports are provided when expressly indicated in the description or can be requested before bidding, agreeing on availability, content and any costs. CatWik i expert review is separate from our appraisal activity and does not replace an individual certificate.

Description and photos document the proposed item, its accessories and declared conditions. For used or vintage items, signs of age and use are evaluated in relation to the nature, era and state of the article. Photos supplement the description without limiting responsibility for incorrect features or undisclosed defects.

Only accessories and documents explicitly indicated are included. The brands cited belong to their respective owners; their mention identifies the objects and does not imply affiliation or authorization by the maison.

PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized using methods compatible with the materials and its preservation, then carefully packed.

Shipping is tracked and insured according to the service used. Items may be in different warehouses: allow approximately 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for unusual destinations or customs delays. Shipping will occur within the terms provided by CatWik i and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not extend the shipping deadline.

Upon receipt, inspect the packaging. If there are dents, cuts, openings or breakages, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, when possible. We advise photographing the package before and after opening and keeping packaging, protection and label to facilitate possible insurance checks.

The absence of a reservation, photos or packaging does not automatically negate the consumer’s non-derogable rights. In consumer sales, carrier risk is governed by art. 63 of the Consumer Code.

SUPPORT AND REPORTS

For any clarification or issue, contact us via the order messaging on CatWik i, indicating the lot number and describing what you found.

In case of damage, item not as described or missing content, promptly report the problem also to CatWik i support, preferably immediately and in any case within 3 days as per the platform procedure, to enable claims handling and possible payment suspension.

This operative term does not imply waiver of the right of withdrawal or of the legal guarantee under applicable terms.

CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL

When the purchaser acts as a consumer and the legal requirements are met, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without justification within 14 days from receipt of the item, pursuant to art. 52 and following of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to statutory exceptions.

The decision must be communicated with an explicit declaration to the seller, also using the CatWik i procedure. The item must be returned within 14 days of withdrawal notification.

For mere reconsideration, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Amounts due by law, including standard initial delivery costs, will be reimbursed; higher costs of a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not due.

The refund is made without undue delay and within the legal terms, with the possibility to suspend it until receipt of the item or proof of return, according to the law. Funds collected directly by CatWik i are handled through the platform according to their respective competencies, without prejudice to non-derogable rights.

The buyer is responsible for any decrease in value resulting from manipulations beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within the legal limits.

LEGAL WARRANTY AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY

In consumer sales, the legal conformity warranty applies as per articles 128 and following of the Consumer Code, including for used goods, considering prior use and the contractually declared characteristics.

The standard duration of the liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, but not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and permitted by applicable law.

In case of a conformity defect, the consumer is entitled to remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where feasible, or price reduction or contract termination when warranted.

Our commercial preference is to resolve grounded disputes by returning the item and full refund when appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction.

If return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are on us according to law. Costs for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions.

RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM

Before carrying out repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow problem verification and agree on a solution. Unauthorized interventions may alter the original condition, compromise verifications and affect liability for damages or defects caused by them.

There is no automatic refund for interventions commissioned to third parties. The buyer’s non-derogable rights remain: an unauthorized intervention does not by itself cause loss of protection for defects unrelated to the intervention.

The returned item must include accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. Please attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sale document. The original receipt is not the only admissible means to prove purchase.

EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS PROCEDURES

For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and clearance fees may apply depending on the destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered automatically due again.

When required, tax or identification data may be requested for customs clearance. The passport number will be requested only if truly necessary according to applicable rules or the carrier’s/documented authority’s instructions.

We invite buyers to check for import restrictions in advance. For goods subject to particular regulations, including CITES or cultural property rules, shipping remains subject to the legal possibility of export and import and the required documents.

CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION

In case of distance selling of valuables subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required and remote identification is performed as provided by applicable law.

If indispensable information is missing to fulfill a legal obligation, the operation cannot be completed until compliance is achieved. Any cancellation and refund will be managed with CatWik i according to the applicable law and conditions, without automatic exclusion of responsibility.

Personal data will be processed for contractual, tax, customs purposes and applicable legal obligations, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003. Only data necessary will be requested, with information on purposes, methods and retention periods.
