Aureole TV Screen: 37 mm stainless steel case with manual-wind Swiss movement (FHF/ST), blue bi-colour sunburst dial, men’s watch with a long brown crocodile-embossed leather strap, very good condition with minor signs of wear, shipped insured, no original box, papers or warranty.
Description from the seller
We are offering at auction this fascinating vintage wristwatch of Swiss manufacture signed Auréole, an authentic testament to the style and geometric design of the early 1970s.
The watch stands out for its iconic stainless steel case with a cushion profile in a “TV screen” style, characterized by soft lines and semi-integrated lugs that ensure a strong presence on the wrist while maintaining elegance.
The real star is the original two-tone dial with sunburst finish (radial brushed) and a spectacular smoky effect, gradually fading from the silver central tone to a deep cobalt blue at the edges.
The dial is embellished with faceted baton indices applied with contrasting inserts, baton-shaped hands coordinated, and the date window positioned at 3 o'clock.
Inside beats a robust Swiss mechanical manual-wind movement (FHF/ST family), equipped with Incabloc anti-shock protection system.
The bridges feature refined guilloché decoration in small panels typical of the Swiss school of the era. The screw-down case back is stainless steel.
Completing the watch is a new brown leather strap with crocodile pattern.
