Description from the seller

Italian 20th-century solid silver vase with Etruscan-style handles.

Vase in Etruscan style with silver handles, completely handmade in Italy in solid 800-grade silver. The relief and the chisel work reproduce scenes of Etruscan life, typical of the pre-Roman period. The base is round and smooth, while the allegorical scenes with male and female figures were chased on the body and subsequently oxidized. The chased and gilded borders reproduce fruits and leaves. The handles were made from a single sheet and ribbed. Italian silversmithing, already with a centuries-old tradition, saw a great development in the 20th century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the world envies us for. Italian craftsmanship has experienced a sort of new Renaissance after the war. A large quantity of high-quality silverware emerged, with exceptional pieces that today decorate the most prestigious homes.
