Description from the seller
Set of 2 walking canes made of beech wood, one of which is ebonised. The pieces show a silvered metal handle with a flattened or disc-shaped knob of period (early 20th century), produced in the United Kingdom. A metal collar connects the handle to the shaft via a silvered cylindrical ring. The knob is decorated in relief. It presents the typical patina and dark/brown tarnish characteristic of silver that has not been polished over time, and the lower ebonised part is slightly curved. The two canes were fashionable accessories for men's and bourgeois wardrobes. They measure: 92 cm.
