Beatrice Riva - L'attesa dell'oltre

The painting portrays with intense emotional charge a youthful half-length figure, whose gaze directed upward and the energetic contrast of light and shadow recall the classical iconography of chiaroscuro and dramatic pathos.

The rope around the neck and the expressive marks on the body and face visually materialize the fragility of the human condition, the inner tension and the strength in facing vulnerability. A piece of strong visual impact, ideal for collectors of contemporary figurative art and introspective figuration.
