Ricoh A.J.W.R.A. quartz men’s wristwatch with stainless steel case and bracelet, 38 mm case, silver dial, reference 572003, quartz movement, short band, in good condition with visible signs of wear.
Description from the seller
**Ricoh Fine Quartz A.J.W.R.A. Original**, an interesting vintage Japanese watch attributable approximately to the late '70s and early '80s, characterized by a sporty-elegant design typical of the period of quartz-watch diffusion.
The stainless steel case measures **38 × 39 mm** and features a rounded tonneau profile with integrated lugs and broad metallic surfaces. The construction gives the watch a substantial wrist presence while maintaining balanced proportions.
The satin-finish silver dial is characterized by applied baton indices with dark inserts, coordinated hands, central seconds and peripheral minute markers. The essential composition favors legibility and aesthetic cleanliness. The inscriptions **Ricoh, Fine Quartz, A.J.W.R.A. Original** and **Japan** are present.
The watch is powered by a Japanese-made electronic quartz movement. Ricoh was among the Japanese manufacturers active in the development and commercialization of electronic watches during the rise of quartz technology. The exact caliber is not attributed in the absence of a photograph of the movement.
The case back bears the engravings **A.J.W.R.A. Original, Fine Quartz, All Stainless Steel, Water Proof, Japan**, in addition to the numbers **572003** and **230372**.
The piece is accompanied by a silvered metal bracelet with multiple links, aesthetically coherent with the period, whose originality has not been verified.
There are scratches and abrasions on the case, case back and bracelet, consistent with age and use. The dial appears overall well preserved and legible.
No recent maintenance is documented. Water resistance has not been tested and is not guaranteed.
An interesting example of vintage Japanese watchmaking, particularly suitable for enthusiasts of early quartz timepieces and the geometric design of the '70s.
