Bay of Angels - Hand-signed, a 2022 limited-edition giclée on canvas, 40 x 40 cm, signed by the artist on front and back, produced in France and shipped directly from the artist with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Late afternoon on a corniche. Leaning against the flank of a cream-colored cabriolet with red leather upholstery, a woman in an ivory backless evening gown and a printed silk turban holds her black sunglasses at face level, turned toward the bay. Below, a city of orange-tiled roofs rises in tiers, a pale citadel, a port crowded with white yachts; to the right, the sea in a deep blue, and in the foreground a pine tree whose shadow cuts across the ground. Semiotically, the painting organizes a hierarchy of gaze: she dominates the port, the port dominates the sea, and the spectator, placed behind her, sees only what she deems fit to show. The palette — cream, ochre, cobalt, sky coral — reactivates the chromatic anchors of the corpus. Supple brushwork, impastos in the foliage, luminous flat areas on the bodywork.
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front and back of the work.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas on a stretched frame, using high-quality pigment printing for faithful reproduction of details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packing to ensure delivery in perfect condition.
About the artist:
LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he subverts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
