Vintage sterling silver ring by Bengt Hallberg (Sweden) in a Scandinavian modernist design, with an open adjustable band and a top plaque measuring about 1.7 by 1.6 cm and 3.5 mm thick, marked BEH and 925S, in good used condition with signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Vintage sterling silver ring from the Swedish jewelry house Bengt Hallberg, executed in a distinctive geometric and modernist design.
The top consists of an almost square plate with a raised edge. Within this framing lies an abstract relief of irregular, diagonally running silver bands. The recessed parts are darkly patinated, making the relief stand out even more.
The ring has an open, adjustable band, allowing the size to be adjusted within certain limits.
On the inside the ring is stamped with BEH and 925S. BEH is the registered Swedish hallmark of Bengt Hallberg, based in Köping. The company was registered in 1953 and grew into a well-established name in Swedish gold and silversmithing.
The ring is in good used vintage condition. There are clear signs of wear, including scratches, small dents, and wear especially on the corners and edges of the square top. These signs of use are consistent with the age and prior use of the ring and are clearly visible in the photos.
